The challenge for HAFI is to achieve a maximum of technically-possible results, in combination with the test criteria and requirements of the standards and accredited testing institutes of the DiBt (German Institute for Structural Engineering).

The product line Public Line fulfills all object-specific standard specifications and combines design oriented products with various surface finishing and a maximum of technically possible properties.

All the products of HAFI Public Line are tested and certified according to the quality standards defined by PIV Cert plus (e.g. 0°-degree vertical position with 1.000.000 movement cycles in respect of the standard DIN EN 1906, version September 2010, respect of corrosion class 5 according to EN 1670) of the PIV (Prüfinstitut für Schlösser und Beschläge in Velbert – material institute PIV Velbert) and are also available according to DIN 18273.


Profile doors

HAFI offers a complete range of levers, knobs and pull handles for profile doors made of metal, wood or PVC.

HAFI profile door levers are generally tested and certified according to the quality standards defined by PIV Cert plus (e.g. 0°-degree vertical position with 1.000.000 movement cycles in respect of the standard DIN EN 1906, version September 2010, respect of corrosion class 5 according to EN 1670) of the PIV (Prüfinstitut für Schlösser und Beschläge in Velbert – material institute PIV Velbert) and are also available according to DIN 18273.

HAFI safety sets are tested and certified according to DIN 18257 (ES 0 to ES 3).

Emergency-exit and panic hardware

The HAFI emergency-exit and panic hardware fulfills the European standards according to EN 1125 (Panic exit devices operated by a horizontal bar) and EN 179 (Emergency exit devices with lever handles and push pads).

Panic locking technology from HAFI ensures that person in an area of danger, are able to exit freely at any time. A light pressure on the horizontal actuator or bar will suffice to open the door – regardless of if the lock is activated or not.

The HAFI touchbar has integrated escape route security in accordance with EN 1125, with a communicative display and can easily be integrated into the building management system.

Door handle with Braille information

With the Models 202, 224, 202XL and 224XL, HAFI converts the individual identification with Braille lettering in a way which is appealing and consistent with standards (e.g. DIN 18273 and DIN EN 179 standards). The text is translated into Braille lettering according to customer specification, and then incorporated into the surface of the door handle through a special, mechanical manufacturing process patented by HAFI. This innovation is also certified according to the certification process PIV Cert plus.
